Kinky Muppet

Formed in 2018, Kinky Muppet is an amalgam of diverse personalities and musical styles. Artists Katrin Plavčak (guitar & vocals), Nicholas Hoffman (bass, baritone & vocals),and along musician Oliver Stotz (drums & samples), approach the form of the "rock 'n' roll trio" with a playful acknowledgment that, while it may no longer exist in its traditional sense, its potential can still be harnessed in the 21st century. Absurd observations on topics such as electricity, machine learning, and visual impairment transition into serious reflections on mythology, prosthetics, and bees. Riffs, hooks, and grooves blend with sharp feedback, distorted guitars, delicate harmonies, and quirky time signatures, enhanced by textured sound effects.
