Otto Kapfinger with Martin Reinhart

Presence of the Invisible

Intellectual conceptions of material form in architectures by Hoffmann, Wittgenstein, Frank

Defying the conventions of the history of the architectural arts, Otto Kapfinger’s lecture presents largely unknown insights into the intellectual, conceptual, and material-constructive foundations of three iconic early works of “modernism” in Austria.

The three short films Bea, Doris, and Lisa (2013) reflect on the desire for better networking within a male-dominated discourse and were shot when the artist was making a fresh start in Berlin.
