Secession Podcast

Secession Podcast, the new digital series created by the Secession, is now available on our new website. In conversations with artists, curators, and experts, the podcast provides interesting insights into the twelve to fifteen exhibitions of contemporary art that take place at the Secession every year. The program also features discussions on current issues as well as experimental sound formats and dialogues with members of the Association of Visual Artists, who share their personal recollections and reflect on the 125-year history of this unique artist-run institution.

Secession Podcast is exclusively sponsored by the Dorotheum.

New website

The Secession is thrilled to announce the launch of its new website. It features extensive information about the exhibition program, the history of the artists’ association, and the iconic art-nouveau building’s architecture. Conceived as part of a holistic digital strategy and design concept, the website is the fruit of a close collaboration with the creative agency treat. With our partner B.A.M Ticketing, we now offer online ticketing on our website for the first time.

“New digital formats that contextualize and expand our programming are a key component of our new website and one we are especially proud of. Making the website universally accessible and welcoming was our first priority. In addition to video recordings of the exhibition talks, the first episodes of our podcast have gone online. Beginning in 2023, we will also share digital versions of our new publications through our website.”
