/Maria Lassnig Foundation TRAVEL FELLOWSHIP in cooperation with the Secession
The Maria Lassnig Foundation has established a new travel fellowship to be awarded in cooperation with the Vienna Secession. Its primary purpose is to promote the recipient’s professional development. All artists who are Austrian citizens or maintain a permanent residence in Austria (please provide proof of official registration) are invited to apply. The project is process-focused and does not necessarily have to yield tangible and presentable results. The recipient is free to choose the destination(s) and duration of their travels. The cooperation partners cannot provide assistance to the recipient at their destination(s) or organize their travels. The fellowship includes a cash purse of EUR 10,000 and is awarded once per year.
Applications for projects to be implemented in 2025 may be submitted in the form of one PDF file to info@marialassnig.org by September 30, 2024. Applications should be kept as brief as possible and include the following: descriptive outline of the travel project (1 DIN-A4 page), dossier summarizing the applicant’s life and oeuvre (1 DIN-A4 page, no weblinks). The jury will meet in late November 2024. Applicants will be notified in writing once the selection of the winner is final.
