The Secession Talks. Exhibitions in Conversation gathers forty-six conversations in exhibitions held at the Secession between 2011 and 2022. The conversations exemplarily reflect the Secession’s exhibition programming during this period. They paired artists with selected interlocutors such as the art historian Sabeth Buchmann and the artist Florian Pumhösl.

Together with the editor Sylvia Liska, president of the Friends of the Secession, and the publisher Johannes Schlebrügge, the two present the publication and discuss the significance of a printed record of conversations in exhibitions.

The book is the second volume in the series The Secession Talks. Exhibitions in Conversation. The Friends of the Secession have organized conversations in the exhibitions for twenty-five years and oversee their publication.
